Reminders

Good Afternoon,

I have put a link on the right-hand side under helpful links for the Summer Reading Program performer evaluation.  We must try to fill this out as soon as we can following the program.

From the manager's meeting, we need to start counterfeit checking every single bill that is $5 and above that people pay with.  We do not have word yet on what to do with the counterfeit bills if we find one that is counterfeit.

We will have the map up throughout June for people to put push pins in designating where they live.   There will be one big map, with a smaller inlay showing the surrounding area close to our branch better.  There will be a survey that we will hand out that goes along with the maps.

We have received a voter's registration card holder.  This will be at the front desk.  We have been doing a good job of asking. Continue to ask each and every adult that fills out a library card application.

Thuy will be providing e-reader training this next Tuesday, the day after Memorial Day.   That will take place in our lab.

Members of ELT will be making visits to neighborhood libraries in the near future.  This will include Meller Langford, Roosevelt Weeks and perhaps Dr Lawson.  They will be available if anyone would like to speak with them.  It is not necessary to speak with them if you do not want.

We will have a branch Kindle Fire soon.  It will have a G number and be barcoded.  It is not for public use. It is for us to check out and use to familiarize ourselves with it more  We need to make sure that we are very well-versed on e-readers as well as the new library application that is coming out.  We will start to get questions about the app, and we need to know how it works.
